Model’s bodies were painted on location and then photographed. During all seasons the team created artwork with particularly beautiful backdrops. Working with body painters Jörg Düsterwald and Léonie Gené, Uwe and Laila have carefully crafted poses, and colors that allow their figures to melt into the scenery. These remarkable images encourage us to enjoy the curves, forms and subtleties of the nude body just as we would enjoy the graceful shape of a tree, the gentle rise of hill or the abrupt angles of a rock formation. Their work invites the viewer to see the human figure as a part of nature. They have been using body paint to transform nude models into continuation of the natural features of the scenery. For a number of years art photographers Uwe Schmida and Laila Pregizer have devoted themselves to the integration of human subjects into landscapes.
